Getting Better

This morning Cooper greeting me with an angel in one hand and a smile on his face. He was feeling a little better. A lot of nasal congestion but his cough is better and fever as well. I'm going to work a 1/2 day tomorrow. I still have a lot of nasal/head congestion but fever is gone. Hopefully tomorrow will go okay and Cooper will continue to get better.

Cooper put back the angel and was looking at picture and I couldn't help but smile at his hair. This is why: Last night we didn't use conditioner. I wasn't feeling the best and Cooper wasn't feeling the best so we made bath time minimal. This is what Cooper's hair looks like in the mornings without conditioner.

We had a pretty relaxing morning. We went through some of Cooper's toys and moved some upstairs for another play area. Despite our relaxed morning, Cooper took a really long nap. This is Cooper sleeping heavily as I slowly wake him up. He loves his "puppy".

Cooper's been better about keeping his feet under the covers. He doesn't like the zip-up p-j's. He likes to have his socks off and I remind Cooper before he goes to sleep, "try and keep your feet under the covers". I couldn't help but smile.

After I got Cooper up, we took a bath. Cooper has moved over to the other bath tub. For several reasons...easier on my back and stomach to give Cooper a bath and also Cooper can have his own area. Plus, we can have our bathtub back. This is Cooper saying cheese.

Supper was a little while away so Cooper had a snack. I asked Cooper if he was "enjoying his grapes?". His answer: The thumbs up. Too funny!

Cooper said he would be right back. He sat back down at the table with his tools and said "I need to work". He started taking his grapes under the saw.

He said he making "grapes taste better".

Cooper saying, "Yum, that's good". He hasn't had much of an appetite lately so this was good.

"Something's Wrong With Me"

Our weekend has been full of body aches, fever, sneezing, coughing and just not feeling well. Cooper's been feeling sick since Thursday night and I started feeling like I was fighting off something Wednesday.

By Friday morning, I had the full blown sickness...the classic cold/flu. During our time at home this weekend, Cooper was trying to play with his toys and he looked up and said, "something's wrong with me".

Chris and I immediately stopped talking and looked at Cooper. I knew his Motrin had worn off. He also tried to ride his tricycle and stopped and said, "I'm going to take a break...my legs hurt". This is Cooper saying "I want to sit on my bean bag".

Even though Cooper and I have been feeling sick. We are feeling a little better today. This is Cooper watching "Noggin" which is now called Nick Jr. Cooper will say, "Can please watch Noggin?".

Owl Sweater/Hat

Grandma started knitting a couple of years ago. She made this for Cooper last year. We tried it on him to see if it fit. This is Cooper smiling wearing his owl sweater.

Grandma also made Chris a hat for Christmas. Chris can wear the hat and so can Cooper. Great fit!

"Not without Noah"

After Cooper's bath tonight he said, "Mommy, I want Noah in basket too and you take picture". I said, "you want me take a picture of you in the basket?". Cooper said, "I want Noah in basket with Cooper and you take picture". I tried to explain to Cooper, Noah wasn't coming to our house for awhile. This was Cooper realizing Noah wasn't going to be able to be in basket with him.

Cooper said "why, Mommy". Well, this some time to explain but I told Cooper when his birthday and Noah's birthday arrived, Noah would too. This made Cooper happy!

The funny thing to me is how in world would both of them fit into this basket. But I know the two of them would find a way.

Driving "Easy"

Cooper had a blast riding his jeep in the backyard. At first, he wasn't going anywhere when he pressed the gas petal. Chris said some weight on the jeep would help. Well, "Easy Finish" was the winner. Cooper was able take off once the extra weight was put on.

Cooper has a new friend. "Puppy" from Grandma and Grandfather for Christmas. He's been taking him to bed and with him on his adventures.

A few bumps.

Cooper started chasing Smokey. Smokey was pretty relaxed during his persecute. He would slowly move away from Cooper. Cooper was saying "Smokey, come back".

Smokey's hiding place.

Cooper really enjoyed his time in his jeep. The cold has prevented us from being outside a lot. When we can be outside, we have lots of fun!

In a Box

We've been moving some things around to get ready for the baby. This was a box we were going to be throwing away. I don't know how Cooper could possible fit in this box but he did. He was watching his passion dvd: Magic School Bus.

Lettuce not "Celery"

At supper the other night, Cooper wanted to have some "celery". I told Cooper it was lettuce not celery. He said "oh". This is Cooper helping himself to some romaine lettuce with ranch.

Cousins

The minute Cooper and Noah saw each other they were in their own world. I love seeing Noah and Cooper grow together and have such a unique and special bond.

Cooper loved Noah's tricycle. He spent a lot of time riding and honking the horn a little, only because the horn was kinda loud.

Cooper wanted to play Noah's guitar. He sat down on the back of the tricycle and began playing.

Looks like Cooper is checking to make sure the guitar's in tune.

Playing away.

Through the tunnel...

Sharing a seat.

I forget what this is called, but I'll call it the mini-wee fit. Cooper and Noah were too cute on this. The game calls for you to run on the mat, but when instructed to "run" Cooper more than Noah would run off the mat and around the room.

I wish I knew what Cooper was talking about. This is a funny shot.

Supper time...vegetables first.

Bath time.

Baby Gabe during Noah and Cooper's bath.

Cooper slept in Noah's toddler bed.

The next morning, Cooper and Noah starting playing a game, "Where did the baby go?". Cooper and Noah would ride into Gabe's room and look in the crib. They would say,"where did the baby go?". Then, they would say, "we have to rescue the baby...they would hop on their rides and Cooper would say "to the rescue". This is the start...looking into the crib.

The look of question...where's the baby?

The funny part of this game is Gabe was in the same spot doing the same thing all times Cooper and Noah started the game. This was Gabe.

Cooper was curious to see Gabe getting his diaper changed. I watched Cooper wondering if this how he would be with his baby sister. Cooper had Gabe's pacifier at one point of the diaper change. Cooper said, "baby needs pacifier to stop crying". Gabe's crying did bother Cooper and he didn't stay for the entire diaper change. The experience was good for him and I was happy to see Cooper experiencing a piece of what his world will be like soon.

Mary and Chris took Gabe to doctor for routine check and I stayed with Noah and Cooper. I was making their lunch and I could hear Noah and Cooper having the best time. Simple things make the most fun.

Lunch time!

Cooper and I left for home soon after lunch. I'm so happy Cooper and Noah have a unique and special connection.
