Oil Change with Pirates

Cooper and I headed out the door toward AAA for the famous oil change and tire rotation. This is Cooper wanting to wear his goggles for the ride.

Cooper wanting to wear his goggles into AAA. He wanted to say cheese and then look at this picture.

Since this was Friday, the day before Halloween, AAA was having there own trick-r-treat. This is Cooper getting some candy from a worker dressed up.

At each desk, Cooper would walk up and say "Trick-r-treat" and would get some candy. He would say "thank you" and have a smile on his face.

Cooper arrived at the Pirate's desk. He was "scared of the pirate". The co-worker who started Cooper's bag of candy showed him the pirate was nice. She took some candy from the pirate and then put it in Cooper's bag.

Although Cooper was scared of the pirate he didn't want to move on. So, we stayed for a few minutes. This was as close Cooper would get to the pirate.

This is Cooper happy with his bag of candy and then started talking about the pirate. "I not scared of pirate."

This is Cooper enjoying his 1 bag of candy before its time for us to leave.

Cooper watching our car being brought down from the lifts. "Cool!"

Before leaving AAA, our pirate friend gave us a picture of himself. During our wait, Cooper wanted to go and see the pirate several times. At one point Cooper was holding his sword. This is Cooper saying: "Arrhhh".

Later that night, Cooper wanted to show off his picture.

The question: "Cooper would you like to be a pirate?" His face says it all.

Late Night Fun

We had one of Cooper's favorite meals: Spaghetti and green beans. This is Cooper showing off his green bean before he puts into his mouth as says: "yum, that's good".

After eating, Cooper wanted to wear his goggles and then had to go potty. I love this shot even though Cooper will probably say, "MOM?! Why?, one day. Still he's too cute for words.

Riding his tricycle and goggles.

Showing me how high his plane can go.

Always makes my heart smile, Cooper sweet smiles...

Time for bed. This is Cooper's favorite stuffed animals. Monkey and bear on his left side and panda on his right side. Favorite blanket over his pillow and recently blanket over his body. I know his crib days are coming to an end soon.

Cooper still has a pacifier. Its a "controlled habit" which is great. He can only have his pacifier when he's napping or down the night. I had a horrible habit with my fingers as a child. We call this a "thumb habit" at work. Thumb habits are the hardest to stop on a child and habit is exercised more than sleeping. So, for now its okay for him to have his pacifier.

Cooper has his night light or mobile he uses if he wakes up from a bad dream. He can turn it on and off as he pleases and it also is a self timer which goes off within 8 minutes. This is Cooper before nights off under his blanket. Goodnight, love you, see you in the morning.

Lake Scare-o-lina

On Sunday afternoon our church, Village Church, sponsored a family friendly Halloween event called: Lake Scare-o-lina.

This was the message.

This was our first adventure of the afternoon. It took Cooper awhile to get on the bus. He didn't want to get on. I think the size of the bus was intimating/scary to Cooper. I picked him up and he was ready to get on the bus but only with me carrying him.

The bus was an obstacle course with soft pads formed to go over/under and through. Cooper was a little timid to go through so I went through first and he eagerly followed. This was us coming out of the bus.

When Cooper saw this he started running to get in line.

This is Cooper and his Sunday School friend, Logan, climbing with excitement.

Cooper making his way to slide down.

That was fun...again!

After a few more times we took a break and walked around. Face painting was taken place but Cooper didn't want his face painted. This was Cooper's pumpkin I had painted on my face.

One more time down the slide before home.

Already Big Brother

Chris painted baby girls room and Cooper wanted to help. He said, "I paint sicctor's room".

Cooper knew immediately what to do with the paint minus the roller.

Cooper opened the paint brush and knew again, exactly what to do.

Can one imagine if paint was involved. This would have a masterpiece for sure.

Even though Cooper didn't officially paint anything in his sister's room he was a huge part of the process.

After the room was painted we received our first baby girl's gift from Ron and Catherine Dozier. Cooper wanted to have his sister's present beside him. Here are few shots...

I saw this a few minutes later...Cooper had placed the socks so close to his own. Too cute.

Cooper wanted to take his sister's present upstairs to her room.

I was curious to see where he would put his sister's present and put it beside her 1st doll. He looked back and was satisfied.

Trails and Fishing

I wanted to include this post of Cooper loving nature. Even though he didn't catch any "real" fish he loved pretending. He also loved walking through the trails.

Cooper getting ready to cast his fishing line.

Cooper deciding to sit down and fish.

This is Cooper's face as he start to reel in his "big fish".

Cooper talking about a fish he saw.

Time to leave nature and head home. Cooper wanted me to follow him and wasn't afraid of falling.

This is Cooper falling down but on his way up handing me a stick "for you Mommy". Love his way of handling his fall.

This is our final picture. I'm holding this stick Cooper gave me during his fall and he's one happy boy!
